| Q & A with Terriers’ Wold |
|
February 22, 2012
Recently, Portage Terriers’ standout Brent Wold spent a few minutes with MJHL Web Correspondent Lorelei Leona discussing a myriad of subjects ─ some hockey related….some not.
In addition to being named February’s RBC Player of the Month, Brent added to his trophy case by recently being named to the MJHL’s First All-Star team.
Enjoy the read. And thanks to Brent for being a good sport!
What is your favorite hockey memory? That would be last year playing in the RBC and making it to the ANAVET
Favorite hockey movie? Miracle
Did you always want to be a forward or did you try out a few positions before you decided on that one? I always wanted to be a forward. I played defense…I tried it one game but I ended up just going on the rush and taking it up, so I figured I’d better to stick to being forward (laughing)
If you weren’t a hockey player what would you want to do? Go to school and get a high paying job
In any field in particular? Probably in science
What kind of music do you listen to that gets you amped up before a game? That would be like dance music…like LMFAO kind of music
If you could meet one person, who would it be? I’d probably want to meet Wayne Gretzky actually
What do you do in your spare time? Either work or hang out with the boys
Do you have any hidden talents? I guess fishing wouldn’t be a hidden talent, would it?
Who are you hoping wins the Stanley Cup this year? The Jets, but I guess that’s far away
Yeah, I think the Leafs are higher than them in the standings right now… Yeah, that’s not good (laughing)
Do your teammates call you something other than your name? Woldy, White (K) night, oh and Woldemort
What do you normally do after a game? If it’s a home game, probably just go to Boston Pizza with the guys…or did you mean superstition kind of stuff?
Sure, do you have any? No, I don’t have any (laughing) |
