MJHL alumni advance to NCAA

The Manitoba Junior Hockey League continues to graduate its players to higher levels of play. The Norwich University Cadets currently have four MJHLer’s in its line-up: Carter Cowlthorpe (Virden), Braeden Ostepchack (Selkirk), David Robertson (Steinbach) and Taeron Lewis (Winnipeg Blues).

“We have won our league (NEHC) 18 out of the last 19 years,” said Steve Mattson, Cadets’ assistant coach. “We have made 17 trips to the NCAA Tournament, 12 trips to the Final Four and have won four NCAA National Championships (2000, 2003, 2010, & 2017).

“The Manitoba Junior Hockey League has been good to Norwich.”

Norwich University is located in the Green Mountains of central Vermont. It is located 30 minutes from the state capital of Montpelier. Boston, New York, and Montreal are just a few hours’ drive away.
