RBC Cup drawing closer: ticket sales brisk

Thursday, February 04, 2010

The RBC Cup is fast approaching and organizers have good news for junior hockey fans: there are still 900 seats remaining. The national championship goes will be staged in Dauphin from May 1 to 9.

“With early-bird and regular ticket sales, sponsor tickets, Hockey Canada and visiting team ticket requirements factored in, we now have less than 900 seats left to sell,” says Doug Hedley, RBC Cup event coordinator.

“Ticket sales through Dauphin’s Countryfest box office have been steady, and with more and more requests coming from out of town we’re starting to gain confidence that the event will sell-out.

“The recent announcement of Charlie Major headlining the opening night cabaret/saloon has also helped push ticket sales.”

Tickets are available for $240 (plus fees and taxes) for regular seats and $270 (plus fees/taxes) for club seats. A VIP feature which includes benefits like “front of the line” service and VIP Lounge access is available for an additional $160 – and can be added to either a regular or club seat ticket package.

Dauphin’s Countryfest is the official ticket box-office, so in-person sales may be transacted at their office location on Second Ave SE in Dauphin. Complete ticket information is available by calling 1-888-459-2010.
