Good rebounding by the Pistons after a loss to Portage earlier this month. The Pistons took out Winkler 7-3 on Friday and then got by Swan Valley 4-1 on Sunday. Steinbach ranks 4th on this week’s CJHL Top 20.

Selkirk  Steelers

Selkirk Steelers

36-16-3 (Last week: 4th)

A great weekend by Selkirk has pushed the Steelers up within two points of Winkler for second in the league standings. The Steelers, however, have just five games left in their regular season while the Flyers still have seven contests to go.

Mixed results for the Winkler Flyers last week. A good win over Selkirk to start the week, a tough loss to Steinbach on Friday and then a strong victory over Wayway to close things out. The Flyers find themselves 18th on the CJHL Top 20 this week!

OCN Blizzard

OCN Blizzard

33-16-3 (Last week: 2nd)

The OCN Blizzard had their seven game winning streak snapped on Saturday with a 2-0 loss to Selkirk at the GLMC. They’ll look to bounce back this week with the final three contests of their eight game home stand on tap.

Portage Terriers

Portage Terriers

32-16-3 (Last week: 5th)

Portage split their schedule last week with a win against Wayway and a loss to Neepawa. The Terriers are in a battle with OCN for fourth and fifth place in the standings. Coming into this week they’re two points back with a game in hand on the Blizzard.

The Winnipeg Blues have dropped three of their last four heading into this week. Fifth place in the standings is not out of reach yet for the Blues, but another regulation loss and it will be.

One win and one loss for Virden last week. The Oil Capitals are four points back of the Winnipeg Blues for sixth place and 12 points up on Swan Valley for seventh.

This week is a very important one for the Swan Valley Stampeders. They have a couple games with teams chasing them in standings, including a massive game against Neepawa on Friday.

The Kings were able to pick up a win over the weekend, but lost one as well. Dauphin is four points out of the playoff picture, but they’ve played two more games than the team they’re chasing.

With four straight losses under their belts the Wayway Wolverines have a huge week ahead with games against Dauphin and Swan Valley. Winning both could get them back in the post season conversation.
