The Steinbach Pistons go into the Manitoba Junior Hockey League Playoffs as the team to beat and two straight wins under their belt. They’re also ranked 4th on the CJHL Top 20 this week!

OCN Blizzard

OCN Blizzard

Final Record: 39-17-4 (Last week: 4th)

Some big points in the final week of the season bumped the OCN Blizzard up to third in the league standings. The Blizzard beat Selkirk in a key standings matchup and then gained a single point against Steinbach to secure 3rd place.

Winkler Flyers

Winkler Flyers

Final Record: 41-16-3 (Last week: 2nd)

Winkler wrapped up second place in the MJHL Standings last week and go into the post season with three wins in their last four games. The Flyers are also an Honourable Mention on the CJHL Top 20 this week!

Selkirk  Steelers

Selkirk Steelers

Final Record: 39-18-3 (Last week: 3rd)

The Steelers may have fallen short when it comes to finishing higher up the standings, but they are arguably one of the hottest teams in the league right now with a record of 7-3-0 in their last 10.

Portage Terriers

Final Record: 37-19-4 (Last week: 5th)

For the first time since 2014 the Portage Terriers will begin their playoff run on the road. The Terriers finished their season by gaining points in five of their final six outings.

Virden Oil Capitals

Virden Oil Capitals

Final Record: 26-26-8 (Last week: 7th)

Virden finished their season by defeating their first round opponent, the Winkler Flyers. It’s the second time in the last three years the Oil Caps and Flyers will meet in the first round of the playoffs. Last time they needed the full seven games and a little OT to decide who was moving on.

Neepawa Natives

Neepawa Natives

Final Record: 21-33-6 (Last week: 8th)

Neepawa went 7-2-1 in their final 10 games to grab the final MJHL playoff spot. Things won’t get any easier though, as they now have to face the top ranked Pistons in the first round.

Winnipeg  Blues

Winnipeg Blues

Final Record: 27-27-6 (Last week: 6th)

The Winnipeg Blues go into the MJHL Playoffs with the league’s second longest active losing streak. They’ve dropped four in a row and were outscored 11-5 in those contests.

Dauphin Kings

Dauphin Kings

Final Record: 17-36-7 (Last week: 9th)

Despite missing the playoffs the Kings ended the season on a high with a shootout win over Winnipeg. Dauphin will be looking for scoring in the off season as their goals for average was the lowest in the MJHL at 2.42.

Final Record: 20-34-6 (Last week: 11th)

A tough end to the season for the Swan Valley Stampeders after missing the playoffs on the last day of the year. The Stampeders went 2-5-2 in their final 10 games down the stretch.

Waywayseecappo Wolverines

Waywayseecappo Wolverines

Final Record: 14-42-4 (Last week: 10th)

Waywayseecappo will have the first overall selection at this year’s MJHL Draft in Winnipeg. The Wolverines ended their campaign with five straight losses.
