Stampeders’ Roulette commits to Northland College

Swan Valley Stampeders’ alumni Shane Roulette has committed to Northland College.

“When we started the process with Coach (Taurean) White and the Stampeders organization in the recruitment of Shane, we knew from the start it was a player we needed in our locker room,” said Lumber Jacks’ Head Coach Seamus Gregory.

“Shane plays an honest game and will be a natural fit in our lineup. He simply wins puck battles and can produce. Any time you can add a player with 200+ games of junior experience, you will. Another aspect and big part of this is the academic and family side. In working with his family and through our rigorous admissions piece, they were first class – we are excited he will be a LumberJack”.

Roulette, who hails from Winnipeg, recorded 35 points (18-17) last season for the Stamps. He also played with OCN and Wayway during his MJHL career. He joins two other MJHL alumni on the LumberJacks: Ty Kraus (Selkirk) and Kurt Sonne (Winkler).

Northland College is an NCAA Division 3 University located on the shores of Lake Superior and members of the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA).
