APTN Hockey Hopes Program

The Manitoba Junior Hockey League is proud to team up with APTN in an effort to share the importance of inclusivity in the game of hockey through the APTN Hockey Hopes program.

During the 2020-21 season, each MJHL team will conduct two virtual school visits which will include one with a Manitoba First Nations Reserve and one with a school in their local community.

With each visit, players involved will read books, share a message about the importance of inclusivity and open up the floor for questions from the classroom.

Over the years, hundreds of young Indigenous men from across Canada have taken to the ice in the MJHL and continue to be a fabric to the success of the league. No matter your ethnicity, religion, socio-economic background or sexual orientation, the MJHL prides itself on ensuring an inclusive atmosphere for all players and their families.
