TORONTO – The Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL) announced Tuesday that Niverville Nighthawks (MJHL) netminder Austin Dubinsky has been named the 2025-26 recipient of its Top Goaltender Award.
Dubinsky garnered the accolades of fellow Top Goaltender finalists Mathis Lacroix-Goulet, (G) Collège Français de Longueuil (LHJAAAQ); Rylan Donovan, Kemptville 73s (CCHL); Tre Altiman, Leamington Flyers (OJHL) and Charlie Tritt, Flin Flon Bombers (SJHL), in a voting process completed by each of the CJHL’s nine-member leagues.
Hailing from Ardrossen, Alta., the 20-year-old Dubinsky was stellar in the Nighthawks net all season long where he helped led them to a first place finish in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League standings.
In 39 starts this season, Dubinsky posted an impressive 34-3-1 record to go along with a 2.18 goals-against average, a.931 save percentage and two shutouts.
His victory total was the highest among all CJHL goalkeepers.
Earning the Ed Belfour Top Goaltender award as the MJHL’s best goaltender, Dubinsky finished first in the league in wins, was third in GAA and sat second in SV%, during 2,336 minutes of game action.
He did not suffer a defeat in consecutive contests all season long and registered winning streaks of seven games, or higher, including a 12-outing run, on three separate occasions.
