Benson Hirst signs with WHL’s Warriors

Northern Manitoba Blizzard defenseman, Benson Hirst, has signed a scholarship & development agreement with the Moose Jaw Warriors of the Western Hockey League (WHL).

Hirst began 2024-25 with Prairie Hockey Academy before joining the Blizzard for the remainder of the 2024-25 season where he played 21 games, scoring 5 goals and 5 assists. The 2008-born defender scored 2 goals in 12 playoff games, helping the Blizzard to a Turnbull Cup Championship.

Earlier in the offseason, Hirst also committed to play NCAA Division 1 men’s hockey at Northern Michigan University.
