Blue Cross Mental Health Goals tally climbs

WINNIPEG, MB – The Manitoba Junior Hockey League (MJHL) was pleased to announce a new component of its partnership with Manitoba Blue Cross for the 2025-26 season.

For every goal scored in the MJHL during the regular season, Manitoba Blue Cross will be donating $1 towards the Canadian Mental Health Association and the Talk Today program in Manitoba thanks to the Manitoba Blue Cross Mental Health Goals initiative.

So far this season, teams have combined for 1,483 goals, amounting to $1,483 donated towards mental health.

Talk Today is one of the most comprehensive mental health programs for amateur sports in Canada. It promotes the mental health of young athletes and spreads awareness about the benefits of positive mental health throughout communities across the country.

“Collaborating with two of our partners on a meaningful initiative that can make an impact like this is outstanding,” shared MJHL Director of Marketing & Partnerships, Erik Swar. “We’re looking forward to seeing plenty of goals scored this season.”

Fans and supporters of the MJHL will be able to check in on the current goal tally through social media updates along with a landing page that will live on mjhlhockey.ca.
