Blues Edwards Heading To Nipissing University

Winnipeg Blues Defenseman Ty Edwards is heading to Nipissing University to play for the Lakers for the upcoming season.

Edwards, 21, was acquired by the Blues midway through the 2015/16 season in a trade with the Selkirk Steelers.

The 6″2, 200 pounder from Winnipeg suited up in 30 regular season games with the Blues, notching six goals and eight assists.

In the post season Edwards lit the lamp three more times and tallied seven points in 11 games.

Nipissing University is located in North Bay Ontario with the Lakers playing in the OUA (Ontario Universities Athletics)

The entire Blues organization would like to thank Tyler for all his contributions to the Blues, and wish him all the best in the future.
