Dyck & Buenaventura named to Canadian U18 Worlds roster

A pair of former MJHL goaltenders have been named to Team Canada’s roster for the 2022 IIHF U18 World Championships in Landshut and Kaufbeuren, Germany.

From April 23-May 1, Reid Dyck and Ethan Buenaventura will suit up for Team Canada as two of 25 players selected. Both Dyck & Buenaventura spent time in the MJHL during the abbreviated 2020-21 season.

In five games with the Winkler Flyers as a 16-year-old, Dyck went 3-2-0 with a 2.78GAA and .920SV%. Buenaventura suited up in two games with the Winnipeg Blues in his16-year-old season where he went 2-0, with a 1.44GAA and .954SV%.

Reid Dyck is currently with the Swift Current Broncos while Ethan Buenaventura backstops the Calgary Hitmen, both of the Western Hockey League (WHL).
