Winkler Flyers Associate Coach & Assistant GM, Coltyn Bates, has accepted a role as an Assistant Coach with the Coventry Blaze in the Elite Ice Hockey League (EIHL).
Based out of Coventry, England, the Blaze are a British professional ice hockey team founded in 1965.
Bates is an MJHL alumnus as a coach (2022-25) but also as a player with the Flyers from 2015-2018 before he earned an NCAA D3 commitment to the University of Wisconsin-Superior where he spent four seasons (2018-22), suiting up in 88 career games.
