Former Blue Stoykewych named Manitoba Moose captain

Former Winnipeg Blues’ defenceman Peter Stoykewych has been named captain of the AHL’s Manitoba Moose. He’s the eighth captain in club history.

Stoykewych, who is in his fourth season with the No. 1 farm team of the Winnipeg Jets, was originally chosen by the Atlanta Thrashers in the 2010 NHL draft.

After leaving the Blues, the Winnipeg native played four seasons with Colorado College before turning professional.
