Jackson Keane named to Bemidji State University staff

Former Winnipeg Blues forward, Jackson Keane, has been named an Assistant Coach for the Bemidji State University Beaver’s (NCAA D1) men’s hockey team.

Keane spent two seasons in Winnipeg with the Blues where he he scored 36 goals and 62 assists in 102 regular season games. In his rookie season with the Blues, Keane helped his club to a Turnbull Cup championship, adding 4 goals and 2 assists in 13 postseason games.

During his time in the MJHL, he was named to the MJHL All-Rookie Team and a 2nd Team All-Star in his second season.

Following his junior career, Keane spent three seasons playing at the University of North Dakota and played one year of pro in the ECHL for the Orlando Solar Bears.

He would go on to start his coaching career in the MJHL as an assistant for his former team during the 2022-23 season before being hired by the Fargo Force in the USHL where he spent the last two seasons as an assistant.
