Justin Svenson commits to Ontario Tech University

Winkler Flyers forward, Justin Svenson has committed to play USPORTS hockey at Ontario Tech University.

The 5-foot-11, 198-pound winger from Ile Des Chenes, MB led the MJHL in scoring during the regular season with 33 goals and 49 assists in 54 games to take home the Mike Ridley Award as the leagues’ top scorer.

A veteran of 87 games in the MJHL between Winkler and Swan Valley, Svenson scored 43 goals and 69 assists for 112 points in his MJHL career. Svenson was named one of five finalists for the CJHL’s Top Forward Award.

The Ontario Tech University Ridgebacks play USPORTS in the Ontario University Athletics (OUA) conference in Oshawa, Ontario.
