With the Kings in full control of the series at 3-0, the Stampeders were able to pick up a crucial win on home ice in game four on the heels of a big performance from a pair of hometown boys in Carter Cockburn and Trey Sauder who each scored a pair of goals. The Stamps’ held a 4-2 lead in the second period of game five before the Kings turned on the offense and scored a pair of powerplay goals in the third to send the game into overtime. After a scoreless first overtime, Carter Cockburn stole the puck behind the net and scored on the wrap-around 32 seconds into double overtime to send the series back to Swan River. In game six, the Kings held a 2-1 lead until late in the third when Trey Sauder beat Carson Cherepak to extend the game into overtime for the second straight game. After another scoreless first overtime, Kaden Bryant skated down the right wing and fired a shot that squeaked through Kobe Grant. Bryant stuffed home the rebound behind Grant and lifted the Kings into round two.

The Kings are now set to meet the Winkler Flyers in round two.
