Loney and Murray set for international action

MJHL stars Carter Loney (F, Steinbach Pistons) and Owen Murray (D, Portage Terriers) get their first taste of international competition with Hockey Canada this week in Dawson Creek, BC.

Team Canada West will open their 2019 World Junior A Challenge schedule against the United States on Saturday, Dec 7.  The last two gold medallists meet in an important early match-up.

Team Canada West schedule:

  • Dec 7 – 7PM (MT) – USA
  • Dec 8 – 7PM (MT) – CAN-E
  • Dec 11 – 7PM (MT) – RUS
  • Dec 12 – 7PM (MT) – CZE

The 2019 edition of the World Junior A Challenge will be held December 7-15 in Dawson Creek, B.C., with five teams (Canada East, Canada West, Czech Republic, Russia, United States) on the ice at Encana Events Centre for game action.  Over 70 alumni of this event were on NHL opening rosters to begin the 2019-20 season.
