MJHL announces 2023 Auto-Protect List

WINNIPEG, MB – The Manitoba Junior Hockey League (MJHL) and it’s thirteen-member teams are pleased to announce the 2023 Auto-Protect list.

Each member club is given the opportunity to list two players born in 2007 from their respective home zone. The 2023 Auto-Protect list features 16 players who will no longer be eligible for the upcoming 2023 MJHL Draft.

As previously introduced in 2020, teams will have the option to decline an Auto-Protect selection and defer that pick to Round 7 or 8 of the draft.

This year’s Auto-Protect list contains a total of ten (10) forwards, five (5) defensemen, one (1) goalie.
