MJHL announces partnership with The Coaches Site

The Manitoba Junior Hockey League (MJHL) is excited to announce a partnership with The Coaches Site.

The Coaches Site is an online resource that provides the tools necessary for coaches to improve through informative discussion, video instruction, articles and interviews with some of the best and brightest minds in the game of hockey.

“We are excited to work with the Manitoba Junior Hockey League and support its coaches in providing an enhanced development opportunity for their players,” stated Aaron Wilbur, Founder and CEO of The Coaches Site. “The MJHL has established itself as one of the top junior leagues in North America and not only produces players for the next stage of their career, but coaches as well.”

In celebration of the return of hockey and the upcoming season, The Coaches Site will be hosting its inaugural Virtual Hockey Summit powered by TeamSnap on September 25 & 26, 2020. The event will feature some of hockey’s top coaches, trainers and executives, along with experts in human performance.

Presenters for the Virtual Hockey Summit include Rod Brind’Amour (Head Coach, Carolina Hurricanes), Brad Treliving (General Manager, Calgary Flames), Glen Gulutzan (Assistant Coach, Edmonton Oilers), Cammi Granato (Pro Scout, Seattle Kraken & member of the HHOF) along with many others.

The agenda features technical presentations, interviews, panel discussions and on-ice demonstrations suitable for coaches of all levels. Presentations will also cover topics such as having positive conversations about racial diversity with players and how to enhance opportunities for women in hockey.

“The Coaches Site is an amazing resource for coaches at all levels and we are excited to embark on and continue to grow this relationship moving forward,” said Kevin Saurette, MJHL Commissioner. “One of our key objectives is to provide development opportunities, on and off the ice for both players and team personnel, and this partnership will aid us in that commitment.

MJHL coaches will have the opportunity to participate in the inaugural Virtual Hockey Summit launching next weekend.
