MJHL Awards 2019-20 | RBC Community Ambassador

RBC and the Manitoba Junior Hockey League are pleased to announce the 2019-2020 RBC – MJHL Community Ambassador Award winner is Winkler Flyers forward, Everett Bestland. This is the second year RBC has sponsored the award. Each of the 11 MJHL teams nominated a worthy player who is making a positive contribution in the community. All 11 players nominated displayed outstanding citizenship and sportsmanship both on and off the ice and a commitment to volunteerism. RBC graciously made a donation on each player’s behalf to their respective local school division.

Everett Bestland was selected as the top ambassador overall for his work volunteering in a number of areas in Winkler/Morden: minor hockey and CanSkate programs; the Christmas Cheer Board; the Morden Fire Department; and as a role model for youth speaking in local schools. The Garden Valley School Division will receive an additional donation from RBC in Everett’s name.

Congratulations Everett and thank you to all MJHL players who make a positive impact in the community.  RBC is proud to support and recognize the outstanding work of all MJHL teams who enhance the communities they serve.

A strong supporter of sports from the playground to the podium since 1947, RBC is committed to supporting programs to help make hockey happen throughout Manitoba and across Canada.
