The Winkler Flyers are looking for a new Director of Marketing and Game Day Operations to join the team on a full-time basis. The position requires an energetic, organized individual who’s passionate about junior hockey and the positive impact it can have on our community.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Winkler Flyers of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League are seeking a dynamic, energetic and motivated individual to join the Flyers team in the full time role of Marketing, Partnership and Game Day Operations.
Based in Winkler and reporting to Management, the Director of Marketing and Game Day Operations will be responsible for the development of all Flyers strategic marketing, partnership and game day planning/execution efforts.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage overall partner relationships including: strategic planning, revenue growth targets and all operations necessary to profitably retain, grow and service customers.
- Liaise with community and clients to develop positive relationships and ensure partner and community activities/deliverables are being met.
- With assistance, manage and maintain ongoing updates and content creation for Flyers website, social media strategy, marketing and branding initiatives.
- Manage and lead Game Day Operations and planning and execution of special events.
- Aid the Community Relations Coordinator in promotion and management of community involvement campaigns.
- Any other related activities as directed by the General Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A strong passion for community and sports culture.
- Exceptional organizational, leadership, time management and communication skills.
- Project management, partner management, media and promotions or marketing-related background and experience considered an asset.
- Demonstrated efficiency and strong knowledge in WordPress, Excel, Graphic design and video editing considered a strong asset. (canva, adobe etc.)
