POSITION: Assistant Coach
REPORTS TO: Head Coach
JOB SUMMARY: The Niverville Nighthawks are entering their fifth season of play in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League. The MJHL’s member teams compete in regular season play between the middle of September and the end of March, with playoffs to follow. The CJHL national championship knowns as the Centennial Cup, takes place annually in the middle of May.
SCOPE: All camps, practices, and games at the discretion of the Head Coach between late August and the conclusion of the team’s season.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Key duties will differ based on the skill-set of the successful applicant, though a general outline of responsibilities is as follows:
- Assist the GM / Head Coach in planning and executing practices
- Lead pre and post-practice on-ice skill development work
- Assist the equipment manager with travel and day to day equipment requirements
- Contribute to a culture of integrity, growth, and commitment on the ice and in the community
