Starting with the 2024-25 regular season, all on-ice officials in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League (MJHL) will have a fresh look when the puck drops on September 20th.
“Getting new uniforms for the MJHL officials is something all of us are excited about,” shared MJHL Director of Officiating, Patrick Gagnon. “It’s going to create excitement with our group to be working the league and also gives younger officials something to look forward to when getting selected to work the league.”
The new uniforms have created a positive buzz according to Gagnon, who shares more about why the choice was made to update.
“The jersey was created with the thought of the new look the NHL & other professional leagues have gone to. We also wanted to bring back the last names as we believe it will help with rapport and communication across the board.”
