RBC PLAYER OF THE MONTH
Sebastien Hicks (’05) Waywayseecappo Wolverines

The big forward out of St Jean Baptiste heads into the month of November with the MJHL lead in points (28). In October, Hicks earned five multi-point performances, including a 2 goal – 4 assist outing in Winnipeg.

SAFE WORK MANITOBA DEFENSEMAN OF THE MONTH
Kurt Rookes (’05) Waywayseecappo Wolverines
12GP | 1G | 12A | 13PTS

Returning to the MJHL after two seasons in the WHL, Rookes has fit back in seamlessly for the Wolverines and put together a strong month of October. Rookes’ best performance came in a win over the Oil Caps where he scored the game winner and added a pair of assists.

MCMUNN & YATES GOALTENDER OF THE MONTH
Austin Dubinsky (’05) Niverville Nighthawks

The back bone of the current #1 team in the MJHL has the Nighthawks soaring to the top as a new month begins. In October, Dubinsky was outstanding for Niverville going 8-1 while turning aside 291 of 313 shots. Dubinsky and the Nighthawks currently sit 3rd in the CJHL Top 20 Rankings.

CHEVROLET ROOKIE OF THE MONTH
Trevor Hill (’08) Portage Terriers
11GP | 8G | 4A | 12PTS

The native of San Antonio, Texas, enjoyed a strong month up front for the Terriers in October, hitting the score sheet in all but three games. Hill capped off the month by scoring the game winner and leads all rookies in points heading into November.

MANITOBA PORK PEAK PERFOMER
Bryce Bryant (’06) Virden Oil Capitals
9GP | 8G | 9A | 17PTS

Bryant put together an impressive month for the Oil Capitals, adding six multipoint performances. The NCAA Division 1 Bemidji State commit has climbed into the top six of league scoring and looks poised to help carry the mail in Virden this season.
