    Three games, three wins for the Centennial Cup hosts last week. Portage sits tied atop the league standings with the Steinbach Pistons. They’re also ranked 15th on this week’s CJHL Top 20.

    The Flyers picked up a couple big wins last week, beating Winnipeg and Steinbach late in the week after a loss to Portage.

  3. (23-11-3) (Last week: 1)
    The Stampeders had their five game winning streak snapped by the Portage Terriers on the weekend and earned a split with their two game schedule last week. Their win was a 7-2 victory over OCN.

  4. (18-14-4) (Last week: 6)
    Virden is one of the hottest teams in the MJHL right now with wins in three straight including two over Neepawa last week. They outscored the Natives 12-2 in those contests.

  5. (25-7-3) (Last week: 3)
    The Pistons dropped two of three last week with losses coming to Winkler and Winnipeg. Steinbach remains tied for first in the MJHL but have lost three of their last five. Steinbach is 14th on the CJHL Top 20.

  6. (21-14-4) (Last week: 2)
    A bumpy week for the Wolverines as the club fell twice, losing 5-4 to Winnipeg and 3-2 to Dauphin.

  7. (15-20-2) (Last week: 10)
    Two wins in three games last week bumped the Winnipeg Blues up the standings a little. They now sit just two points outside the MJHL playoff picture with 23 games left in their season.

    The Kings lost two of three last week but snagged a big 3-2 win on home ice over Wayway Saturday night.

    Two losses in three games for the OCN Blizzard last week as well. The Blizzard have a home heavy start to January on their horizon.

    Selkirk won their lone game of the week, 5-2 over Dauphin but finished the month of December with a record of 1-6. They’ll look for better results in 2020.
