The Pistons won two of three last week, ending the stretch on Saturday with a 3-0 loss to Portage. Steinbach visits Winkler this week before settling in to four of six at home to close out the month. Steinbach is rated 12th on the CJHL Top 20 this week.

Three wins in our four outings is not too bad for the Virden Oil Capitals. They had their winning streak snapped on Sunday with a home loss to Dauphin.

Portage dropped two of three last week but managed to grab three of a possible six points. The Terriers have two road games this week before starting a stretch that has them playing five of six at home to close out January. Portage was named an Honourable Mention on this week’s CJHL Top 20.

Dauphin’s week didn’t start well but ended strong, the group lost two before taking down the red hot Oil Capitals in Virden. The Kings have just two games this week.

A win and a loss for the Waywayseecappo Wolverines. They ended the week with a big 5-0 shut out victory over the Winnipeg Blues after falling 8-3 to Swan Valley.

Two extra time wins for the Steelers has Selkirk putting a gap between themselves and Winnipeg for the MJHL’s final playoff spot. The Steelers edged Neepawa in a shootout on Wednesday before beating Portage in OT on Sunday.
