Portage’s lone stumble last week came in a 7-4 loss to the Kings in Dauphin. The Terriers will need to win all three of their games this week to have any shot at finishing 1st in the MJHL standings. Portage is an Honourable Mention on the CJHL Top 20 this week.

Two wins in three outings clinched the Winkler Flyers 3rd place in the MJHL Standings. They’ll play just one game this week as they wait to find out who their first round opponent will be in the post season.

A couple of overtime losses in Swan River to the Swan Valley Stampeders have the Pistons four points ahead of Portage for 1st in the MJHL Standings as the final week begins. Steinbach is 14th on the CJHL Top 20 this week.

A couple overtime decisions saw Virden gain five of a possible six points last week. Virden is currently tied with Wayway for 5th in the MJHL Standings. Those two teams meet this weekend.

Three games, three wins for the Dauphin Kings last week. They outscored their opponents 22-10 in three contests. The Kings are just two points back of Wayway and Virden for 5th and 6th place.

Two overtime wins over the top ranked Steinbach Pistons on the weekend helped solidify 4th place in the MJHL standings for the Swan Valley Stampeders. They too will now wait to see who they’ll play in the first round of the post season.

A good start to the week but a tough end for the Wayway Wolverines who are the third team battling for post season positioning. They’ll play three contests this week including that critical affair in Virden on Saturday.
