Selkirk’s week started out rough with an 11-2 loss in Dauphin but the Steelers were able to rebound with two wins over OCN on home ice.

OCN won their second in a row early in the week then fell twice in Selkirk over the weekend. The Blizzard were able to squeeze a point out of Selkirk in an OT loss on Saturday.

One game and one loss for the youthful Winnipeg Blues. They wrapped up October with a 3-5-1 record. Winnipeg has a very busy November with 13 games on their schedule.

The month has not been kind to the Oil Capitals. With one game left in October their record sits at 3-7-1 with losses in four of their last five. The good news is Virden was able to pick up two points with a shootout win over Winkler on the weekend, despite blowing a 4-0 and 7-4 lead in that contest.
