2019-20 Week 8 | November 4 – November 10

  1. (13-6-1) (Last week: 2)
    The Flyers remain one of the hottest teams as of late. They’ve gone 9-1-1 in their last 11 games and started their week with a 6-3 victory over the Pistons in Steinbach.

  2. (15-4-1) (Last week: 3)
    Portage remains perfect in the month of November with four wins so far. The Terriers also find themselves 19th on this week’s CJHL Top 20.

  3. (13-3-2) (Last week: 1)
    The Pistons stumbled a little with a loss to Winkler earlier this week but they remain with the MJHL’s top winning percentage at .778, edging out Portage who are .775. Steinbach sits 13th on the CJHL Top 20 this week.

  4. (13-7-2) (Last week: 8)
    The Steelers won three of four games last week to help move themselves up a little in the MJHL standings. Just two games on tap this weekend for Selkirk.

    A tough week on home ice for Swan Valley as they dropped two of three, winning their last outing over Selkirk 3-1.

  6. (8-7-5) (Last week: 4)
    Dauphin racked up a nine game point streak earlier in the week but saw it disappear with a 6-1 loss to Steinbach on home ice during the weekend. The Kings are now on the road for a season high six game road swing.

  7. (10-10-3) (Last week: 11)
    After struggling through October the Virden Oil Capitals have now won three straight and are climbing back up the Standings. They’ll play one on the road this week before kicking off a five game home stand.

    The Wolverines started the week out ok with a 4-3 OT decision in Dauphin but then lost their next two games to Winnipeg and Portage. Wayway has lost three of their last four.

    One win in three games last week for the Blizzard has OCN sitting 9th in the Standings coming into action this week. They’ll start a four game road swing on Wednesday.

    A 3-2 win over Wayway was sandwiched between two big score losses to Virden last week for the Blues. Winnipeg plays six of their next eight on home ice starting this week.

    The Natives hold the MJHL’s longest active losing skid with seven. After a game in Winnipeg on Friday Neepawa begins a six game home stand on Sunday.
