The Dauphin Kings flipped things on the Virden Oil Capitals this season. After losing their opening two games to the Oil Caps to start last year the Kings beat Virden twice to open this year’s campaign. The Kings were ranked 4th on the CJHL Top 20 this week!

Like Dauphin, the Winkler Flyers picked up a win in regulation and a win in a shootout over the weekend, beating Neepawa on Friday & Saturday. Winkler finds themselves 9th on the CJHL Top 20 this week!

The Stamps beat their highway rival OCN Blizzard handedly twice over the weekend with a 6-3 decision on Friday and a 5-2 outcome on Saturday. Swan Valley was also ranked on the CJHL Top 20, they’re 10th!

Mixed results for the Selkirk Steelers over the weekend with a win against Steinbach (2-1) and a loss to Wayway (6-1). The Steelers have one game at home this week before kicking off a four game road swing next week.

The Terriers opened the season with a bang on Friday, taking down Winnipeg 9-1, but they couldn’t keep things rolling in their home opener with a 3-2 loss to the Blues Sunday.

A tough start to the season for the Blues with that 9-1 loss on home ice, but a good rebound with 3-2 win in Portage. Winnipeg opens up a three game home stand later this week.

A couple losses to the Dauphin Kings for the Virden Oil Capitals but they were able to squeeze a point out of the Kings with their shootout loss on Sunday evening.
