RANKING TEAM LAST WEEK DETAILS
1. 1st    5-1-0 After stumbling a little in a 5-2 loss to Winnipeg the Oil Capitals bounced back well picking up two wins late last week including a 4-1 decision over the Portage Terriers. Virden is ranked 14th on this week’s edition of the CJHL Top 20 Rankings!

Player to watch: Tyler Kirkup – 11 points (4G, 7A) in 6GP
2. 2nd    4-1-0 The Terriers ended the weekend with a loss to Virden after going
4-0-0 in September. Portage will get a shot at redemption when they host the Oil Capitals later this week. The Terriers were an Honourable Mention on the CJHL Top 20 this week.

Player to watch: Jeremey Leipsic – 10 points (1G, 9A) in 5GP
3. 3rd    4-1-0 Two wins and a loss for the Pistons last week including two big wins over Dauphin (6-1) and OCN (5-0). Steinbach finds themselves ranked 20th on this week’s CJHL Top 20!

Player to watch: Braden Purtill – 8 goals in 5GP
4. 5th    4-1-1 A mixed bag of results last week for the Blizzard has pushed OCN up into sole possession of second place in the MJHL standings.

Player to watch: Thomas Hansell – 7 points (3G, 4A) in 5GP
5. 8th    4-2-0 After losing the opening two games of their season to the Neepawa Natives the Winkler Flyers have rattled off four straight wins to jump back up inside the league’s top five.

Player to watch: Coltyn Bates – 9 points (5G, 4A) in 6GP
6. 4th    3-1-0 A quiet week last week for the Natives saw Neepawa win and lose a game. The schedule will get a lot busier for the Natives who play 12 games in 24 days during this month.

Player to watch: Ashton Anderson – 7 points (4G, 3A) in 4GP
7. 6th    1-1-1 The Swan Valley escaped last week with a shootout win and a loss. With just three games under their belt the Stampeders will hit the ice for three games this week.

Player to watch: Shane Roulette – 3 goals in 3GP
8. 9th    1-3-0 After an OT win and a loss to the OCN Blizzard on home ice last week the Selkirk Steelers get set for three straight on the road this week.

Player to Watch: Nate Halvorsen – 7 points (4G, 3A) in 4GP
9. 10th   1-4-1 1.  A 2-0 shutout loss to end the week for the Blues. Winnipeg has one of the busiest schedules this month in the MJHL with 13 games on their docket.

10. 7th    0-4-1 Wayway fell short of earning their first victory of the season Sunday when they gave up a 3-1 lead in the third period to Swan Valley in a 4-3 shootout loss.

Player to watch: James Maxwell – 5 points (3G, 2A) in 5GP
11. 11th   0-5-0 The Kings also remain in search of their first win of the season following losses to OCN, Steinbach and Winkler on the road last week. They’ll return to home ice for two games this week.
