MJHL Power Rankings – Week 20


1. (44-8-3)
Steinbach clinched first in the MJHL last week with wins over Swan Valley, Dauphin and Winkler. They’ll kick off a three game home stand later this week. The Pistons are also 3rd on the CJHL Top 20 Rankings this week.

Virden finds themselves in second place coming into action this week. The Oil Capitals have won four straight with two games on their menu this week. Virden also found their way onto the CJHL Top 20, they’re an Honourable Mention.

The Terriers are one point behind Virden with a game in hand and will hit the road for three straight starting on Sunday.

OCN has gained a little breathing room in the race for home ice advantage in the opening round of the post season. Right now the Blizzard are three points up on Winkler with two games in hand on the Flyers.

The Winnipeg Blues have a shot at moving up to 5th in the standings. They’re six points back of Winkler and have three games in hand, but time is their biggest enemy at this point.

Losers of three straight the Winkler Flyers look into their rear view mirror and see the Winnipeg Blues just six points back with three games in hand. Winkler will hope for some good home cooking as they begin a four game home stand this week.
