Three games for Skrupa last week where the veteran forward posted 1 goal and 1 assist in each of those contests. He scored the tying goal before assisting on the winner against the Stamps, and came up big once more against the Blues, notching the game winner late in the 3rd. Skrupa and the Titans hold a 5-point lead on 3rd place in the MGEU West Division heading into a new week.

Leif Ekblad (G/’05) – Winkler Flyers – 2GP | 2W | 0.50GAA | .977SV% | 1SO
After allowing just 1 goal in a win over the Blizzard earlier in the week, Ekblad put together an impressive 29-save shutout performance on the road in Dauphin to close out the week. That’s five straight wins in five straight stars for Ekblad and the Flyers, who now sit in a tie for the final playoff spot in the MGEU East Division.

Kam Thomas (FWD/’06) – Winkler Flyers – 2GP | 2G | 3A | 5PTS
Three games in three nights for the Flyers on the road where they managed to pick up 6 points, and Kam Thomas was a key factor. 1 goal and 1 assist in their series against the Blizzard before notching a pair of goals and an assist on the road in Dauphin which included the game winner. That is now 7 wins in their last 8 for the Flyers who continue to surge up the standings.
