SUMMERSIDE, PEI – Hayden Wheddon and Dawson Zeller each scored a pair of goals to help the Niverville Nighthawks to a 7-6 win over the Rockland Nationals (CCHL) on Wednesday afternoon to close out the preliminary round in Pool A with four wins.
“It was a close one. We definitely didn’t play our best in the defensive zone, but when we needed to shut it down we did and I think we can outscore any team here. We can still clean things up in the defensive zone; I don’t think we’ve ever let in six goals all year, so if we clean that up in the next two games, I like our chances.”
