It was the Wolverines who got off to a hot start in game three when Max Collyer walked into the Nighthawks zone and ripped a shot over the shoulder of Austin Dubinsky to give Waywayseecappo a 1-0 lead.

With five minutes to play in the period, Ben Roulette jumped on a rebound off a shot from Sebastien Hicks and buried it to give the Wolverines a 2-0 lead. The Nighthawks continued to push and hit pay dirt with under four to play when Adam Vigfusson got his own rebound and banked it in off Jase Wareham behind the net to cut their deficit in half heading to the 2nd.

Despite being outshot 9-5 in a quiet 2nd period, the Nighthawks would tie the game with under four minutes to play when Adam Vigfusson scored his second of the night and 7th of the postseason.

11:03 into the 3rd, Evan Panzer took a pass from Calyb Moore and cut to the net before chipping the puck over the shoulder of Wareham to give the Nighthawks their first lead of the night.

The Wolverines would make a push and pull Wareham for the extra attacker, but that’s as close as they would get with Dawson Zeller scoring on the empty net to seal the 4-2 win in game three for the Nighthawks.

Niverville takes their 2-1 series lead to Waywayseecappo on Wednesday when they meet the Wolverines in game four.
