Dawson Zeller scored his first of two on the night in the opening ten minutes of the first when he tucked in a rebound at the side of the net to give the Nighthawks a lead after twenty minutes of play.
The Flyers would earn a man-advantage near the midway mark of the 2nd when Evan Panzer would make a nice defensive play at the blueline to send Zeller in on a shorthanded breakaway, beating Ernst down low to give Niverville a 2-0 lead.

With under two minutes to play in the period, Flyers 17-year-old defender, Graeme Pickering, would beat a trio of defenders and snipe one over the shoulder of Austin Dubinsky to cut the Flyers deficit to one.

Winkler would push back in the 3rd but Niverville would hold strong and play a great shutdown period to help them secure a 2-0 series lead.
These two clubs will meet again in game three on Wednesday night at the Niverville CRRC with puck drop set for 7:30.
