The Virden Oil Capitals have officially clinched their spot in the McMunn & Yates Turnbull Cup Playoffs.
After missing the post season in 2024-25, Virden has bounced back in a big way to become the first team in the MGEU West Division to clinch their playoff spot.
Holding a 31-10-3-0 record, the Oil Capitals have taken the league’s fewest penalty minutes (597) and sit with the third fewest goals against (112).
