Orca Wiesblatt making an impact with Hitmen

Portage Terriers alumni Orca Wiesblatt has made the most of his return to the Western Hockey League (WHL) providing an impact with the Calgary Hitmen this season.

Sitting at 40 games played heading into the playoff run, Wiesblatt has scored 14G-23A, 37 PTS including 4 GWG as the Hitmen currently hold the first wildcard spot in the WHL Eastern Conference.

Last season Wiesblatt, playing with older brother Ocean, helped the Terriers earn the 2019 MJHL championship and an ANAVET Cup title.  Orca led the ANAVET Cup series with 5GP, 4G-3A, 7PTS leading the Terriers in a series win over the Battleford North Stars to advance to the National Jr.A Championship.

As a 16 year-old Orca began his junior career in the AJHL leading into a 49-game season with the Hitmen in his 17-year old season.  Born in 2000, Wiesblatt still holds another season of junior eligibility.
