It was a massive week for the MJHL’s leader in points as Connor Paronuzzi exploded for a five point performance on home ice before putting together another pair of multi-point games. Paronuzzi and the Pistons hold a five point lead at the top of the MGEU East Division heading into the final week of play before the holiday break.

A picture perfect week from the Winkler Flyers veteran goaltender who stopped all 66 shots in a trio of wins against MGEU East Division rivals. Those key victories now have the Flyers nipping at the heels of the Pistons with a game in hand heading into the week. of Liam Ernst now leads the MJHL in goals against average (1.54), save percentage (0.942), and shutouts (6).

Alexandre Andre (FWD/’08) – Northern Manitoba Blizzard – 3GP | 1G | 5A | 6PTS
The 16-year-old rookie from Winnipeg posted a big performance for Northern Manitoba last week, earning points in three straight contests while helping the Blizzard to a pair of key wins to close out the week. He recorded 2 assists against the Kings before scoring 1 goal and 2 helpers in a win over the Freeze. Andre added 1 more assist in the Blizzard’s win against Virden to complete a big week.
