The 18-year-old puck stopper turned aside 60/62 shots in a pair of key MGEU West division wins over the Wolverines last weekend. Sheffield sits in the top 10 of goaltenders in both goals against average (2.70) and save percentage (.915). The Kings now sit tied with the Wolverines and Stampeders with 47 points each.

Josh Lehto (FWD/’04) – Virden Oil Capitals – 2GP | 3G | 1A | 4PTS
The rookie winger enjoyed personal success during a strong week for the Oil Capitals. Lehto added a goal and an assist in a win over the Nighthawks before scoring a pair of goals in the rematch. Lehto sits 7th in rookie scoring with 16 goals and 12 assists The Oil Caps’ have now won four straight and sit 6 points back of the fourth and final playoff spot in the MGEU West.

Mike Svenson (FWD/’03) – Winkler Flyers – 3GP | 1G | 5A | 6PTS
A busy stretch for the Flyers who had 3 games in 5 days, Svenson notched a pair of helpers in a close loss to the Terriers earlier in the week. Svenson added a goal and an assist in a tight 5-4 win over the Blues before he added another pair of assists in the Flyers overtime win against Neepawa on Sunday night. Svenson sits 12th in MJHL scoring with 22 goals and 20 assists through 41 games.
