The Swan Valley Stampeders continue to ride the hot hand of the MJHL’s Ed Belfour Top Goaltender Award recipient, Kobe Grant. In 3 games last week, Grant led the Stamps’ to a key divisional win over the Kings before earning a win over the Blues and shutting out the Steelers with a 28 save performance to earn his third shutout of the season.

Briley Wood (FWD/’03) – Neepawa Titans – 2GP | 4G | 2A | 6PTS
The owner of the 2nd highest points per game (1.46) in the MJHL continues to enjoy a strong season since rejoining the Titans. Wood helped the Titans to a win over the Nighthawks, scoring a hat-trick during a 6-4 victory on the road in Niverville before adding a goal and two assists in another high scoring tight loss to Steinbach on Sunday night.

Desmond Johnson (D/’02) – Niverville Nighthawks – 3GP | 5A | 5PTS
He’s been steady since arriving in Niverville and continues to contribute on a consistent basis. Last week, Johnson helped the Nighthawks earn two key points in the MGEU East Division playoff race and added two multi-assist games before adding a lone assist in a shootout win over the Kings.
