Steinbach Pistons alumnus, Bradley Schoonbaert and the University of Calgary Dinos (USPORTS) captured their first Canada West Championship since 1997.
A native of Brandon, Manitoba, Schoonbaert has spent the past for seasons with the Dinos where he’s recorded 23 goals and 30 assists over 83 games. Prior to joining the University of Calgary, Schoonbaert played a major role in the success of the Steinbach Pistons.
In 178 career MJHL games, the current Dinos assistant captain scored 90 goals and 125 assists for 215 total points. Schoonbaert helped the Pistons win the Turnbull Cup and ANAVET Cup in 2017-18 and was voted a First Team MJHL All-Star.
