Rob Pambrun comes full circle since playing days in MJHL

Rob Pambrun has come full circle since his playing days in the MJHL.

Now a Player Development & Sports Science coach for the expansion, Niverville Nighthawks, Pambrun is excited to give back to the league he once played in.

“Hockey and fitness are my passion. I was a tough, skilled and hard working player but I believe I will be an even better coach. It’s an honour to be working with the Nighthawks, and to be standing on the bench this year with Kelvin Cech,” Pambrun shared.

His current business, TeamPrepStarz, is a global fitness consulting team that specializes in player & athlete development. Their clients include professional and junior hockey players, bodybuilders, fitness models, and other people with physique and performance goals.

During Pambrun’s time in the MJHL he was part of 3 organizations including the Portage Terriers, the Southeast Blades and the Winnipeg Saints.  After suffering a career-ending knee injury against the Selkirk Steelers, Rob shifted his focus to bodybuilding and training. Over the years he has trained with professional hockey players, has worked with IFBB Pro bodybuilders, fitness models, as well as some celebrities.

“It feels like it was just yesterday that I was playing against the Winnipeg South Blues and scored my first MJ goal. Ken Pearson was the coach of the Blues at that time, and Ray Neufeld was my coach in Southeast. I have the puck displayed in my office, and it’s a moment that I will never forget,” Pambrun concluded.

Rob has also been featured in several magazines including “Bustle” and “The Healthy” and was even referred to as a “Celebrity trainer.” Rob has created training programs for Jersey Shore TV star Roger Mathews, G-Unit rapper “Young Buck,” Hollywood movie star & Kobra Kai villain Sean Kanan, “Bubba Sparxxx,” and “Bizarre” from Eminem’s rap group D12.
