Waywayseecappo Wolverines F/D Kurt Rookes has committed to plays men’s USPORTS hockey at the University of Regina this fall.
Rookes spent his rookie season (2022-23) in the MJHL with the Wolverines before making the jump to the Western Hockey League (WHL) where he played 78 career games between the Swift Current Broncos and Wenatchee Wild.
This season in Waywayseecappo, Rookes has split time between forward and defense where he has put together 9 goals and 45 assists throught 55 games.
Rookes joins fellow MJHL’ers, Riley Fequet and Merik Boles, who have already announced their commitments to play USPORTS at the University of Regina.
