Simon Harkness commits to University of Manitoba

Steinbach Pistons goaltender, Simon Harkness has committed to play USPORTS hockey at the University of Manitoba this fall.

The 6-foot-3, 172-pound goalie from Calgary, Alberta, went 12-7-1 with a 2.63GAA and .905SV% in 21 games for the Pistons in 2021-22. Harkness also started in 8 postseason games where he went 5-3 with a 3.01GAA and .902SV% on the way to helping Steinbach to an appearance in the MJHL Finals.

The University of Manitoba Bisons play at the USPORTS level out of Winnipeg, Manitoba, in the Canada West Universities Athletic Association.

Harkness joins fellow 2021-22 MJHL graduates, Jackson Arpin, Zac Patrick and Parker Malchuk who committed to the U of M Bisons recruiting class.
