Stampeders hire General Manager/Head Coach

The Board of Directors of the Swan Valley Stampeders Junior A Hockey Club Inc. would like to announce the hiring of Barry Wolff as General Manager and Head Coach of the Hockey Club.  Originally from Kelowna, Barry Wolff comes to the Stampeders with 23 years of junior hockey coaching experience, primarily in the BCHL.  Most recently, Barry was the General Manager and Head Coach of the Coquitlam Express of the BCHL from 2013 to 2017, winning a league title in the 2013-2014 season.  On four separate occasions Barry was a member of the coaching staff of Team Canada West at the World Junior A Challenge, winning gold in 2015.

Barry Wolff brings a wealth of experience and extensive contacts throughout the Junior hockey world and the NCAA.  He has a strong track record of player development and moving players on to higher levels.

The entire Swan Valley Stampeders organization would like to welcome Barry Wolff to the Swan River Valley.  Barry is now in Swan River and has begun working with interim GM/HC, Darren Webster, to make the transition.

With the hiring of Barry Wolff, Darren Webster has agreed to continue on a part time basis in the role of Director of Player Personnel.  The Board of Directors would like to thank Darren for all his hard work and dedication to the organization and look forward to his continued contributions.
