Swan Valley Stampeders are one win away from their first-ever MJHL championship. In a thrilling, double overtime game, Stamps defeated Portage Terriers 4-3 in Portage before nearly 1,200 fans. Game 6 of this best-of-seven series goes Thursday in Swan River.

Stamps’ Bradly Goethals ended the marathon game, scoring a power play goal 1:34 into the second overtime. It was his 11th goal of the post-season. It was Goethals’ third OT winner of the post-season and his second of the series. After a two-point night, he now leads all playoff scorers with 23 points in 15 games and his 11 goals are also tied with teammate Josh Tripp for the post-season lead.
