Steinbach Pistons’ forward Brendan Martin has been named the Recycle Everywhere MJHL Player of the Week.
Martin, 20, registered five points (1-4) in three games for the Pistons, whose record is 5-2 for the month of January.
Martin, who hails from Thunder Bay, currently sits fourth in the MJHL scoring race with 26 goals and 51 points in 44 games. He’s proven potent on the powerplay, reflected in seven goals via the man advantage.
The runners up are 19 year old forward Carter Barley of the Selkirk Steelers and 20 year old forward Ben Dalke of the Virden Oil Capitals.
