Congratulations to Team Manitoba who captured gold at the National Aboriginal Hockey Championships in Kamloops, BC, on Saturday night.
Team Manitoba defeated Team Alberta 4-2 in the gold medal game and finished the tournament, 5-1-1.
Nine current MJHL’ers were on the roster including Mikey Thomas (WAY), Maxx Hamelin (VIR), Ayden Collins (SEL), Noah Oughton (WAY), Gage Sutherland (WAY), Sandro Dell’Aqua (WPM), Julian Fedora (WPM), Trace Langan (SVS), and Wyatt Dyck (WPB).
Swan Valley Stampeders Head Coach, Josh Tripp was the Head Coach of Team Manitoba while Waywayseecappo Wolverines Director of Player Personnel, Kevin Monkmon was General Manager of Team Manitoba. MJHL Alumni of the Blizzard, Hayden Yaremko and Ryan Person were both Assistant Coaches.
