Team MJHL arrived in Warman late Monday afternoon in preparation for their first practice ahead of the Western All-Star Showcase.
A fast paced practice was led by Northern Manitoba Blizzard Head Coach, Eric Labrosse, and Portage Terriers Assistant, Robby Moar. Team MJHL will prepare for a morning skate on Tuesday before they get set to take on the best U19 roster from the SJHL in the first of two meetings.

Serving as a pre-selection camp for Team Canada West, forty of the top 19U prospects from the MJHL and SJHL (20 players from each league) will compete in on-ice sessions and game play during the Showcase in front of Team Canada West staff and scouts from all higher levels of hockey (NCAA/WHL/U Sports/NHL, etc.). A total of 30 players will be invited from the western CJHL leagues (AJHL, SJHL, MJHL, SIJHL).
